In Ontario, they have gone and banned sushi made from fresh fish. The unbelievable thing is that these "parasites" supposedly found in sushi have never caused a reported case of disease in Canada. This is all theoretical! Now I look around the supermarket and I see that beef hasn't been banned even though people get potentially fatal E. Coli infections all the time and there are many other foods with theoretical risks that are sold everyday. So why are they targetting Sushi? That's racist!

On the bright side, at least they aren't banning smoking, MacDonald's, alcohol or beef contaminated with mad cow disease. This way, I can continue eating burgers and die of either encephalopathy or heart disease while getting hit by a drunk driver, whichever gets me first. Better that than some theoretical parasite!

Is it just me, or has the whole political scene just gone to the shits? I used to like politics and the like observing the ways politicians could twist facts just a little to paint the picture they want. It used to be fun trying to figure out how they were manipulating the human psyche. But now, it's down to just blatant lies "IF YOU DON'T VOTE FOR US, THE TERRORISTS WILL KILL YOU!" What's even worse is that there are plenty of fools (not philosophising fools) who actually believe that. Since when did the US, #1 in military might by far, become such cowards?

I'm doing well, although very lethargic.

Here's something neat: How to fold a shirt.

So, how is everyone doing these days? If I might take a moment to recommend a book to people, I read a novel called "Naoko" recently, by a Japanese author that is a really good page turner. The premise is that a regular layman's life is turned upside down when his wife and daughter are involved in a serious bus accident. The wife is killed, but her soul is found in the daughter's body. Sounds cheeky, I admit, but it come off very well. Aside from pounding back these paperbacks, not a whole lot going on. Summer's long gone, only one more year of school boys!

Man, this is just unspeakably sad.
