So I watched one inning (a really long inning) of the Sox/Orioles game yesterday, and while Pedro was struggling to find his fastball, I couldn't help but wonder to myself, with the keen eye of a medical student, "is it just me or has Pedro Martinez gained like 15 pounds?" I mean, he looks like a chipmunk out there stocking up nuts in his cheeks for the winter! And I wonder, how come no commentator will call him out and state the obvious and say "of course you've lost your fastball. That's what happens when you get fat!"
