Hello everybody. I am in Madrid now. So far, its been a whirlwind trip. Have been to London, Belgium, Paris, and now here. Am leaving tomorrow to go to Barcelona. Actually, Madrid is pretty boring and to top it off, the weather is insanely hot to boot. It is easily 40 degrees celsius midday, hence that is why we are leaving tomorrow. Paris was alright, although I think by the last day,I had gotten my fill of sight seeing for a while. We have been staying at a mixture of hotels and hostels. Some good, some bad. Rest assured, this is the very last time I ever travel in this manner. It is much too painful to envision slogging through this sort of intercontinental torture when I am older.

Best story of the trip so far, met a couple of Americans from UNC. They were heading home early from their vacation with their heads behind their tails, leaving early because as they put it, they couldn´´t handle it anymore. Perhaps this had to do with the fact that they each decided to pack 40 pound backpacks and 20 pound day packs. My whole backpack is only 20 pounds!
