Well, personally, i don't think it was a racist incident. But it begs the question. Lets say I go up to a black guy and say "I love black people. You guys are all so athletic." In this day and age, such a statement is considered racist by many even if it is intended as a compliment. I suppose the quesiton is, can you make a racist statement while intending the opposite, and I suspect the answer is yes.

So now that summer is upon us, what is everybody up to for the summer months? Any holidays or trips in the works? I am heading to Vancouver in a week to do a three week rotation in radiology/nuclear medicine at the University of BC. If you're wondering what Nuclear medicine is, that is a good question because I'm not sure myself, but what I am sure of is there will be lots of mountain biking in the works amidst the tall BC trees.
